If I frequently use my credit card but pay it off in full every month, does this give me a good credit rating and is there any benefit to this at all? PDF Print E-mail

Credit card purchases and payment of the full amount by due date is the best way to show that you are credit worthy, that you manage your own financial affairs and that you are highly responsible. The major benefit of paying the full amount is that credit card purchases allows you up to 55 days of interest free credit – you pay no interest at all.

Credit Card debt is a very expensive debt, because of the high interest you pay on it - it is therefore recommended

If you are worried about your debts, try not to panic but do not ignore your problem. Talk to the people or organisations you owe money to and let them know that you are having problems. Most organisations will be more helpful if you approach them first.
