Debt counselling or debt review as it is also commonly known, has become somewhat of a buzzword since the inception of the process as part of the new National Credit Act in June 2007. Virtually everyone nowadays at least knows something about the availability of debt review as an avenue for debt resolution, but what is really happening behind the scenes where real people with real problems are involved? Does the process really work for the man in the street, or is it merely another good idea with no relevance in the real world?
